Will Sherard, crappy landlord — there he goes again

Will Sherard, a landlord that  frustrated even the federal government when it tried to get him to clean up his property, is again in the acquisition mode, according to city records.

And he again is under orders to clean up his property.

Sherard, who in July reached yet another agreement with the feds to comply with the 2005 order to abate his lead-contaminated units, says he is the owner of the property at 3884 N. 4th St., and is being hit up by the city for $4,000 in re-inspection fees for the property.

He is appealing the assessment.

“The violation orders have not been properly served to me,” he wrote in an appeal document to be considered Dec. 11  by the city’s Administrative Review Appeals Board. “As new owner of the property I should be given an extension of 60 days so that the orders on the property can be properly served on me. This would allow me to properly correct any violations before the fees are charged to me as new owner of the property. Please start the fees after I have been given an opportunity to correct the violations.”
