Sensenbrenner sponsors bad energy bill

The American Energy Act is about as bad as it gets, so of course US Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner (R-Menomonee Falls) is a co-sponsor.

As Think Progress notes, the bill would deal with the issue of global warming simply by prohibiting the regulation of greenhouse gases. The bill is very specific: ”The impact of greenhouse gas on any species of fish or wildlife or plant shall not be considered for any purpose in the implementation of this Act.”

Problem solved.

Also promoted by the bill: more drilling in the Arctic and on the outer continental shelf and more nuclear power.

  1. Haha, that formula is right well over 90% of the time. But watch out – Sensenbrenner, due to some kind of malfunction on the “right” side of his brain, is curiously a staunch supporter of the Voting Rights Act.
