This would make those Walker raises REALLY bad

County Executive Scott Walker is taking a lot of heat for giving his very favorite administrators (except for Sue Black — is there a gender thing going on?) big raises while slashing jobs and running an anti-county-employee administration.

Meanwhile, the rumors are flying at the courthouse about just how broke the county is. The latest is that the county can’t afford the toilet paper that fits in the toilet paper holders in the employee restrooms in the Courthouse complex, so the rolls will just be left on the floor. If you’ve seen how filthy the Courthouse has become during the Walker regime, you’d understand what a disgusting idea that is.

Even if we assume the rumor is not true — how bad do you think things have to be for one like that to circulate and sound credible?

And if true, maybe Walker’s newly-enriched aides could drop a few dollars on a few holder-fitting rolls of toilet paper for their less fortunate county-employed brethren.

  1. Having been in the courthouse and a number of MPS schools, I would be happy if MPS schools were maintained at the level of the courthouse. Yes, the courthouse could use some work. However, I have had to go to the restroom at an MPS school that had all the doors ripped off the stalls.

  2. Riverside. Last winter. I didn’t feel there was anything to report. It was apparent that it wasn’t a recent occurrence so the school had to have been aware of it.
